'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Congratulations Chelsea!

Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw at Arsenal to hand us the title. But their 10 men showed impressive courage and resolve.

Chelsea were down to ten men after a foul by Boulahrouz on Julio Baptista in the box but despite falling behind to a penalty and being outplayed in the first part of second half, they rallied impressively in the second and almost grabbed a win.

Well done but I think we vastly deserved it this season. As one supporter said when he was asked on Sky what had been the difference between the two teams this season:

'We've played quality football. They haven't'.

But all in all, it was a cracking title race, much more interesting than it had been in the last 3 years and I think everyone can be happy about that. The league table very rarely lies and once again, the best team won at the end. Most points, most wins, most goals scored, fantastic games and beautiful performances - that was United in 2006/07.

And don't forget, the season is not over yet!

yea..u guys deserve it. Congratulations. But as far as I am concerned, both deserve it, as both the teams had to go through a LOT of problems and gave it all. But at this moment, MANU deserves it.

Congratulations from a Chelsea ST holder. Injuries etc played their part but the truth is that the best team this season won the league. Enjoy your celebrations and we look forward to a cracking game between the two best sides in the country at Wembley in a fortnight. Good to see that your as gracious in victory as you re in defeat unlike certain other sides fans.

'We've played quality football. They haven't' That doesnt mean you are better. we play quality but have injuries. you didnt until the end. we lost vital players for 3-4 months. you lost rio ofr 2 weeks!
Goofle
look after the trophy, we want it back!
merlin
Goofle: whilst I agree that injuries (particularly Cech, Cudicini and Terry and Cole) hindered Chelsea, Man Utd were the better team from day one this season and they deserve their title.

you boys are just keeping it polished for us for next season ;-) but fair play, i think united have deserved it this season, ronaldo has had a storming season and it's good to see the title won by the team displaying attacking flair (no disrespect merlin, but ManYoo have done that more so than chelski this year...) »»Arsene Knows««

You guys were the perfect storm this season, well done. Enjoy it while you can, we're having it back next season!
Westl
hahahahaha chavs when mourinho is gone, i doubt you will the same force.
PUREGOLD
BTW, I guess we know now why West Ham weren't docked any points, would have been pretty embarrassing for you guys to lose the title because of the Tim Howard incident! Now you'll just be fined.
Westl
We won't be fined, the Premier League confirmed they had no problems with a verbal agreement. No official clause prevented Howard from playing. Had Everton decided to play him and ***** their promise, they could have done it.

I'm dissapointed that Arsenal were so off the pace, but I console myself with the fact that the evil reign has been banished for one year, at least. Still. Arsenal. Liverpool. And even Manchester United must become stronger, lest the evil vermin return to corrupt the once beautiful game.

west ham did'nt get docked point cos of Brooking on the FA's board

rooneyisgod
well done to man u from a chelsea fan and season ticket holder, best team won it this year and playing the best football.Just lucky that Scholes decided to stay retired he's been emmence this year.Oh and yeah, just remember "IT'S ONLY ON LOAN" :)- CONGRATS MAN U
gavins
u also deserve a guard of honour when you walk out on wednesday, but please can giggs get the trophy as i wont mind seeing him lift the premiership aloft when Sky show it for the next year, but to Gary Neville for a season doing it would be truly criminal.
gavins
chavs and mancs are just poo teams without Henry!
Goofle
The best team this year, deserved for playing football the right way all year.
