Mourinho Completely Lost The Plot

Mourinho Completely Lost The Plot

Jose Mourinho launched a scathing attack on Cristiano Ronaldo - the only reason I can see for it is that he's gone totally insane now.

I don't know whether Mourinho lacks any kind of subtlety or the pressure has cracked him up completely but his comments are getting more and more mad as the season wears on.

After claiming we were on the receiving end of refereeing favours, Jose now wants Cristiano Ronaldo to side with him and throw mud at his own team. Unsurprisingly, the young winger refused to do so, prompting another memorable outbreak from his compatriot.

'I really don't want to be dragged into Mourinho's complaints over referees - everybody knows how he is,' Ronaldo said, quite sensibly.

'He always has to say something because he can't admit his failures.

'We have to think about the game in Milan. We have a good squad and I think we are on course.'

An adequate response if there ever was one but Mourinho was unhappy with it. He restraint himself from delivering an attack on Sir Bobby Charlton but chose the easy target who had been vilified all too often before.

'If he says it's a lie Manchester United have conceded some penalties this season which have not been awarded against them he's lying,' Mourinho told RTP TV.

'Ronaldo is a great player, perhaps the best in the world. But he needs to be mature enough to accept you cannot argue against facts.

'And if you lie then you may never reach the level which he aspires to as a footballer.'

Jose, two things. First, Ronaldo did not say anything like that. He just said that he did not want to be drawn into a debate. I do not deny that reindeers have a sexual life but I'm not interested in it as I have other things on my mind.

Second, 'you need to be mature enough to accept facts'. Like the fact that penalties won't be given, not even at Stamford Bridge, when the player handles the ball outside of the box. If you think that was a penalty yesterday, then you're lying Jose and if you lie you may never reach the level which you aspire to as a manager.

what about when he lied about meeting cashley in that hotel, or sneaking into the dressing room when banned, or when he slandered the people at Reading over the Cech injury. how honest is all of that?

1) he clearly lied about Cashley, bad! 2) Do you really believe the bs about his being in the dressing room? If so you need to get out more. 3) Cech nearly died, I think JM was frustrated that things didn't go more quickly. I bet you wish Fergie had been more vociferous when Alan Smith's ambulance was attacked by scousers. Finally, I DO wish he would be a bit quieter, unfortunately it's all part of the package. Take anything JM says with a handful of salt.
