Sir Alex Ferguson has declared he would sign no more than two players this summer.
With Ronaldo signing a new deal and Abramovich hugging Mourinho, the tabloids must be a bit concerned about what they would write but old transfer rumours are always there to help them with this crucial problem.
United have been linked to dozens of players during the last 7 days only so it's unavoidable that one of the papers will get it right - but there will be a massive battle as United will sign no more than two players.
'I would hope to add a couple of players in the summer who will improve us,' Ferguson told The Scotsman.
'We are talking about that now. There won't be sweeping changes, maybe just one or two coming in who would have the talent to make a difference.'
Fergie also declared that so far he was happy with the Glazers who let him get on with his job.
The Glazers have been fine since they took over. They haven't interfered with anything we do.
'I have had a couple of meetings with them, although David Gill obviously deals with them more regularly.
'Any time I have been with them, they have simply said to let them know if there is anything I need.'
