Evra Returns To The Squad

Patrice Evra has recovered from his knee injury while Louis Saha and Darren Fletcher are set to feature again.

Manchester United have been having an injury nightmare recently but things are getting into shape now. Patrice Evra, who missed six games with a knee injury, is ready to face Portsmouth tomorrow thus presenting another option in defense for Sir Alex Ferguson.

Only four defenders made the midweek trip to Rome but Evra's availability means that one of them maybe restricted to the bench. Some people suggested that (and I'm likely to agree) Heinze should be drafted in to the centre for the second leg against Roma, with Brown playing right-back and Evra as left-back.

Of course, the French defender might not be able to play 90 minutes right now so our team at Fratton Park will probably the same that started in Rome, only Saha coming in for Solskjaer. Fletcher should play at least 30 minutes in my opinion as he will have an important role on Tuesday in the absence of Scholes.

Manchester United (from): Van der Sar, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Brown, Heinze, Evra, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Richardson, Eagles, Rooney, Smith, Solskjaer, Saha, Dong.

lets hope he can return to the brilliant form he was in

Fortunately, Heinze's showing signs of rediscovering his old form we all know he's capable of. Evra's return will boost our attacking options that would be a great bonus for the Roma game.
