Edwin To Return

Edwin To Return

Edwin van der Sar could return to Holland's starting line-up on Saturday after recovering from his calf injury.

The Dutchman hasn't played since we beat Lille on March 7 but could make his comeback as Holland take on Slovenia in the qualifiers of Euro 2008.

'It will become clear over the next couple of days whether Edwin will play,' Holland coach Marco van Basten said.

'He trained on Saturday, but not with the rest of the players. If we didn't think he had a chance of playing we wouldn't have included him in the squad.'

The 36-year-old keeper might be back in the Reds' team facing Blackburn on Saturday... if he does not pick up another injury, of course.
