Ronaldo Is NOT A Diver

Ronaldo Is NOT A Diver

Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate said Cristiano Ronaldo was not a diver but a phenomenal player.

To be honest, I'm a bit sick with the 'Ronaldo: diver or not' issue. Opposing managers fume even when he's scythed down viciously, Fergie calls for his protection even when he goes down under no contact whatsoever. Everyone should give it a rest now.

The Portuguese magician went into a tangle with the otherwise impressive Woodgate at the beginning of the last 15 minutes of the Middlesbrough game on Monday. The ref awarded a penalty and though Woodgate did not concede it was a foul, he revealed he did not think Ronaldo was a diver.

'I don't know if it was a penalty but Ronaldo is a very clever player, one of the best in the world.

'Whether it was a penalty or not, I don't know. I couldn't honestly tell myself but I don't think he dived so you can't blame him.

'He's a fantastic player. There is a touch of genius in him and to be fair, he lights up the Premiership.'

Last time it was Dirk Kuyt who was lauded here for being graceful in defeat; now it's Woodgate who deserves credit for his attitude.

As a Villa fan, I can say several things, firstly how he has set this league on fire in response to what happend in the world cup is superb, fair play to him. Also he is an absolute joy to watch when on the ball, and for that reason I hope he stays with you for many many years. Also, the way Fergie protects him is a testomant to the man, and as a football fan you have to admire and respect Fergie for what he has done. As for Boro, or as we refer to the Middles-Villa (Southgate, Boetang, Ugo) hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahah, you left for a small club and havent won a thing. As for the penalty, it was without doubt a penalty and Woodgate pretty much admitted it in the press today, he caught his leg and impeeded him, end of. PENALTY. Finally, I hope you do the treble and screw Chelsea royally, cant stand the cockney, M25 hugging, we laaaarve it, larve it, larve larve larve it - *****s.

Err he simply says Ronaldo didnt dive, doesnt mean that he is not a diver !! There are atleast 3-4 questionable penalties that have been won by Ronaldo this season. Now I think he has a lot of ability and is very talented, but that doesnt mean he's not a diver, coz he is !!

First of all it is hard for me to concede the fact that Man United and Ronaldo are on such fantastic form at the moment! I cannot deny that he is a player that people will pay to see but he does seem to have a tendancy to go down easy and it just tarnishes what a great player he is! I don't think that he is the only player doing it and it is a little unfair because he is always under scrutiny! How ever I do feel that he has got a tendency to dive therefore cheating! Great player though just a complete****!
