The Curse Of Mourinho

Mikael Silvestre's shoulder injury is worst than first thought so it needs a surgery. The defender will resume training in 3 months.

Silvestre dislocated his shoulder in the closing stages of the United v Lille Champions League tie on March 7 but Sir Alex stated that the injury was not too serious. Well, he was wrong.

'Mikael's right shoulder required surgery to stabilise the joint,' said a United spokesman.

'He will be back in training in three months.'

I've got the feeling that since Mourinho had stated we are lucky because we managed to remain relatively injury-free, the world has turned against us.

We lost Solskjaer, Scholes (of course, that's only because of a ban), Saha and Fletcher. Now Silvestre who's not a regular starter but as a squad player he could have played an important role during the final run-in.

We now have three-centre backs and two-left backs so without further injuries we can afford to rest Vidic and Ferdinand for a couple of games each. Therefore, the situation is not desperate but the Curse of Mourinho should cease to act otherwise it will reach Rooney or Ronaldo and our season will be over, with all hope blown away into the wind.

With a bit of luck, Cristine Ronaldo will trip over an eylash and suffer a rather severe strain of his cheekbones and therefore be out for the rest of the season.
