A £9 Million Goal?
Transfers these days can be complicated affairs.
As well as a transfer fee exchanging hands, there are, invariably add-ons.
These add-ons are milestones that, when hit, trigger additional payments to the selling club.
One such payment could be activated this weekend.
If Anthony Martial can recover from the undeclared problem that saw him omitted from the squad that won 3-2 at Selhurst Park, in midweek, and get on the score-sheet, it is going to cost Manchester United a pretty packet.
According to the very well respected news source, The Times, a goal for Martial against Liverpool, or indeed the French forwards next goal, will see Manchester United having to write a cheque to Monaco, his previous club, for a cool £9 million, with one of those aforementioned add-on clauses having been activated.
