Crystal Palace 2 United 3 - Post-Match Fascinating Facts

It really was, in those last few moments of the fixture between Crystal Palace and Manchester United, edge of the seat stuff.

But once the last-gasp victory had been celebrated, we took the opportunity to delve into the history and form books to come up with a few fascinating facts you may find interesting.

• From being 2-0 up, Crystal Palace slipped to a 3-2 defeat, the Eagles haven`t won against Manchester United in any of the last 20 league games they`ve played. This is their longest run without a victory against any single opponent.

• From being 2-0 down, Manchester United came back to win the game for the first time since December 2013, against Hull City.

• From being 2-0 up, Crystal Palace contrived to lose a Premier League game for the first time when they`ve been leading by that margin.

• When Andros Townsend opened the scoring, with a long-range strike, it was the players 8th such strike in his total of 14 Premier League goals.

• When Nemanja Matic crashed home the winning goal it was the first time Manchester United had won by a 90th minute goal since Marcus Rashford scored against Hull City back in August 2016.
