Mourinho Out to Address the Pogba Problem
Manchester United got back to winning ways on Saturday, beating Huddersfield Town, in the FA Cup 5th round, to earn a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
However, despite the win, the Sunday press carries articles that relate back to the defeat Manchester United suffered at the hands of Newcastle United, in the Premier League, last weekend.
One news source, the popular red-top publication, The Sun, insinuates that Jose Mourinho didn`t react too kindly to the shock defeat.
This particular source is implying that, in the apparent sanctuary of the dressing-room, Mourinho had a row with two of those who under-performed, at St James Park, namely Phil Jones and Paul Pogba.
Continuing, on a similar theme, the good folk of the Mail on Sunday, are reporting that following another poor performance from Paul Pogba, Mourinho chose to hold a clear-the-air meeting with Manchester United`s record signing.
Our referenced source suggests that the meeting lasted an hour with Mourinho trying to get to the bottom of why Pogba`s form has slipped so alarmingly in recent weeks.
Yesterday, against Huddersfield Town, Paul Pogba was conspicuous by his absence from the 18-man squad selected for the game, with the official reason inferring that Pogba was suffering from an illness.
Here`s hoping Pogba, who has the ability to dominate matches, gets his form back soon.
