Former United Defender Joins West Ham United

Former United Defender Joins West Ham United

A former favourite of ours has made a sudden return to the Premier League.

Patrice Evra enjoyed a marvellous career at Old Trafford, making 379 appearances whilst at the club and playing his part in wining 9 major trophies.

Amongst those 9 major trophies were 5 Premier League titles and a Champions League win, back in 2008.

Evra left Manchester United to continue his career on mainland Europe, his adventures came to an abrupt end back in November 2017 when, playing for Marseille, he kicked one of his own fans in the head during the warm-up.

As a consequence, Evra and Marseille parted company, with the expression mutual consent being used.

Yesterday, Evra, who was a free-agent, joined West Ham United on a short-term deal that will see him play for the East London club for the remainder of this season.

The Hammers have been hit by injuries and suspension and the experienced Evra should be of enormous benefit for David Moyes side as they seek to stave off the threat of relegation.

Here at Vital Manchester United we`d like to welcome Patrice Evra back to the Premier League.
