Matic`s Thoughts on United Win v Huddersfield

Matic`s Thoughts on United Win v Huddersfield

Yesterday, with the score 0-0 at half-time, thoughts of that dire run of home form, under Louis van Gaal, sprung to mind, a run where 0-0 home draws became the norm.

Huddersfield, organised by their boss David Wagner, put up a stout defensive display that frustrated Manchester United and dampened the enthusiasm of the crowd, by parking the proverbial bus.

Thankfully, Manchester United improved considerably in the second-half and managed to get the victory.

After the game our Serbian midfielder spoke to the BBC and shared his feelings on what we`d just witnessed, remarking,

'This win is good for our confidence and we have to fight 'til the end. Every game in the Premier League is a war. We have to stay focused until the end.

'Alexis Sanchez played really well and he will be a very important player for us with his quality. He is very good on the ball and does a great job defensively.'

It was good to see Alexis Sanchez make his Old Trafford debut and get off the mark with his first United goal, hopefully we`ll see many more in the coming months.
