United Want Fellaini to Remain at Old Trafford

Marouane Fellaini was conspicuous by his absence for the Manchester derby.

The Belgian midfielder was unable to shake off an injury and wasn`t available for selection.

But, it seems that Fellaini remains a wanted man at Old Trafford.

With speculation rife that the 30-year-old could be looking to move on when his contract expires at the end of the current season, it`s being reported that the club do not want to lose the powerful midfielder.

Our associates at the popular tabloid publication, The Sun, are reporting that United are desperate to keep him out of the clutches of the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Besiktas.

It seems that the United hierarchy, including Jose Mourinho, have held talks with the player to try and convince him to sign a new deal which would, reputedly, see Fellaini earn circa £130,000 a week for the next two years.

Furthermore, it is being reported that Mourinho has guaranteed Fellaini he would get more playing time after proving to be an influential player this season.

All we can do now is just sit back and wait and see what decision Fellaini comes to!
