Ronaldo's Turning Point?

Against Bolton Wayne Rooney pulled the strings ... and for once ... Ronaldo found the finish.

The Portugal international has had a tough year, with the death of his father being followed by unfounded rape allegations. But the 20-year-old, who took his seasonal tally to five, is now starting to show the form which has earmarked him as one of Europe's finest young talents.

Ferguson: 'Maybe today will prove to be the best thing to happen to him this season. He missed a lot of chances at Birmingham last week but he hit the target today and that is really important for a young player.

'It can only help him because he should be up around the 15-goal mark every season.'
