'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rooney The New Edwards

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce said we were in the presence of brilliance as Wayne Rooney put in another wonder show

Allardyce: 'Today I have watched one of the most outstanding young players I have ever seen. He terrified our defence. That unhinged us and that is why we have lost 4-1.

'Sir Alex has spoken over and over again about teams sitting back at Old Trafford and making it difficult for Manchester United to break them down. We didn't make it difficult for them. They picked us off when they felt like it.

'We didn't show any tactical awareness to cope with it.'
