Robbie Keane Apologised

Robbie Keane apologised to Edwin van der Sar for the damage he caused when his knee hit the Dutchman's face in the closing stages of the Tottenham-United game on Sunday.

Replays showed Keane tried to jump over Edwin but one of his boots hit the face of the keeper, breaking his nose. For me, it looked like an accident and Van der Sar bears no grudge against Keane after the incident.

'Robbie Keane had apologised to me when I came out of the dressing room; but at the time I didn't know it was him.

'I shook his hand anyway, and it all made sense later! It was very nice of him and I know he didn't collide with me on purpose.'

It seems Robbie Keane has manners off the field though it was hitherto unsuspected. His actions on the field were judged later by vdS who at the time of the incident could not really find the time and energy to find out whether Keane's actions had been deliberate.

'I wasn't really aware of what was going on at the time,' he said. 'All I did know was that I was being taken off the pitch and my nose was broken.

'I knew we were winning of course and I knew what was happening in the game, but as for the actual moment? I couldn't tell you what had happened.

'In the dressing room my nose was put straight back into place, which actually didn't feel too bad, but I can tell you the noise it made wasn't good.'

Love this picture of Edwin. Anyway, he'll be back for Lille and Robbie Keane did worse things in his career even though he broke only very few noses I believe.

clearly an accident, I would have expected nothing less from robbie, he is a competitive player who was perfectly entitled to go for the ball, but off the field is a nice down to earth guy who would feel bad for edwin.

this is something you expect from a good modern day footballer. Now it would be real news if we saw CHEATING RONALDO say sorry for all the conning he does. cheating little ariab

should ronaldo apologise for ripping teams apart too? if he gets away with diving let him continue
rooneyisgod
That is what you would see from every footballer. Now it would good if the CHEATING S*** admit that he is a cheater.

rooneyisgod - The internet is vastly big. YOU, have to be in contention for the BIGGEST tw*t upon it. And I quote, " if he gets away with diving let him continue". Thanks for your input, mate. Now kill yourself. Be discreet. No one's interested in the details. Just go ....

cheaters never prosper, it all comes back to the source... watch Ronaldo try to uck your g/f, he is a loser, if u go outside the rules u play a different game... think about it if u r able.. no glory in cheating, your wins are lessened.

All Spurs fans wish Van Der Sar a full and speedy recovery.

Robbie was an amateur boxer in his youth and apparently was ready to lay out Edgar Davids in a training ground bust up - shame he didn't lay one on Rooney and Ronaldo - I would effing loved it - LOL
