Mata aiming to Play-On for another Decade

Mata aiming to Play-On for another Decade

Since arriving from Chelsea Football Club, Juan Mata has been an exemplary professional.

The 29-year-old midfielder plays the game in the correct manner and always gives his all, with a smile on his face.

In the modern game, Mata is a rarity, somebody who every team would like as part of their first team squad.

Although Mata doesn`t make the starting eleven every match, he`s thoroughly enjoying life at Old Trafford and, it would appear, is keen to remain at the club.

In an article published by ESPN, the Spaniard has even hinted that he`d like to continue playing for at least another decade with Mata quoted as having remarked,

'Why not? I'm 29 and hopefully I can play football for some more years. It would be great to play until I'm 40 like Ryan Giggs. But that's still a bit far, still 11 years.

'I'm happy here. The club is massive, the support we have is massive. I've been settled down in the city since year one. Now it's my fourth year in Manchester.

'You never know what can happen in football and in life. But my feeling now is that I'm happy here and I wouldn't have any problem continuing here for more time.'

We`re not quite sure if Mata will still be with us in a decades time, in fact we`d probably rule it out, but wherever he is playing he`ll still be giving his all and with a smile on his face.
