Manchester United v Newcastle United - Early Team News

This Saturday evening, Manchester United welcome Newcastle United to Old Trafford for a Premier League fixture.

Ahead of the eagerly awaited clash we`ve cobbled together some early team news.

Starting with Manchester United;

Jose Mourinho informed all those that attended his pre-match press conference that three of his long-term injured are in contention for a return to the side this weekend, the trio being Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Marcos Rojo.

Talking about the return of the clubs most expensive signing, Pogba, Jose remarked at his pre-match press conference,

'I can say now because he's back - I don't like to speak while he's injured - you can clearly see there is a Manchester United this season before Paul's injury and after Paul's injury.

'There are qualities in our football, qualities that influence our approach in matches, with Pogba and without Pogba. Simple as that.'

Continuing with Newcastle United:

Rafael Benitez will be without both Jamal Lascelles and Christian Atsu, the former has an ankle injury whilst the latter has a thigh problem.

Also side-lined through injury is Mikel Merino.

Paul Dumett, although having recovered from injury, will not play as he lacks match-fitness.
