Former United Player Undergoing Chemotherapy
Here at Vital Manchester United we`d like to send our best wishes to a former player of ours.
Yesterday, the news broke that our former midfielder Liam Miller has cancer.
Now 36-years-of-age, the Irishman has been undergoing chemotherapy in the USA and is now returning to Ireland.
There has been no declaration of what type of cancer Liam has but, hopefully, Liam can take heart from somebody who he played with at Celtic and who also had the disease but beat it, Stiliyan Petrov.
Talking to the media, Petrov has remarked,
'I'm saddened to hear the news about my old team-mate Liam Miller. Be strong buddy and remember a few of us have beaten it. YOU WILL too my friend. I'm thinking about you.'
With Manchester United adding a statement that reads,
'The thoughts of everyone at Manchester United go out to Liam Miller and his loved ones at this difficult time.'.
During his career Liam played for Celtic, Manchester United, Leeds, Sunderland, Queens Park Rangers and Hibernian.
Miller also won 21 caps for the Republic of Ireland.
Good luck Liam in your fight from all at Vital Manchester United.
