United Linked to a Spanish Full-Back

Lurking in the media this morning is the insinuation that Manchester United are looking at yet another left-back.

With Jose Mourinho yet to permanently fill the void, the news source, ESPN has Manchester United linked with Aaron Martin.

Martin, just 20-years-of-age, is currently on the books of the Spanish club La Liga.

Our referenced source reports that Manchester United sent scouts to watch Martin play for his club against Levante on Friday night.

Furthermore, or source goes on to suggest that Manchester United have been asked to be kept up to date with regards to any developments regarding Martin`s future.

Although Martin signed a long-term contract that ties him to Espanyol until 2022, our aforementioned source is of the opinion that Espanyol will struggle to hold onto the youngster.

But, if a deal is to be negotiated, Manchester United will have to fight off the attentions of Manchester City and quite probably cough up the full €40 million buy-out clause in his contract.

We`ll keep a watchful eye out for any developments.
