Liverpool v Manchester United - Early Team News

As we welcome back the Premier League after a dour two-week break, courtesy of international football, Manchester United are preparing to make the short trip to Anfield, to take on their arch-rivals Liverpool.

Ahead of the match that everybody is talking about, we`ve cobbled together some very early team news.

Starting with our hosts Liverpool:

Jurgen Klopp will be without the services of Sadio Mane who, whilst on international duty with Senegal, picked up a hamstring injury that will side-line him for a period of six weeks.

However, Klopp is expected to call upon the services of both Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmini who played for Brazil against Chile, in midweek, and who travelled the long distance to get back.

Continuing with Manchester United:

Jose Mourinho will be without the services of Marouane Fellaini who picked up a knee ligament injury whilst on international duty with Belgium.

There are also doubts relating to Michael Carrick, our captain, who has a calf injury.

But, Phil Jones, is likely to be available for selection after recovering from a knee injury.
