Scholes Linked with Vacant Oldham Managerial Role

Scholes Linked with Vacant Oldham Managerial Role

Is Paul Scholes about to step into a managerial role?

Apparently, that could be the case.

Scholes, now 42-years-of-age and with no managerial experience whatsoever, could be about to take the plunge with the League One club, Oldham Athletic.

Oldham have been without a manager since John Sheridan left in September when the club were bottom of League One.

Since then Richie Wellens has been operating as the interim manager with the club having won two league games in a row, lifting the club up to the giddy heights of nineteenth in the table.

Although Oldham Athletic have refused to confirm whether Scholes has been interviewed, BBC Radio Manchester are reporting that talks have taken place.

But what makes the speculation so poignant is that, as a boy, Oldham Athletic were the team Paul Scholes supported.

We`ll keep an eye open for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
