United Linked to Arsenal`s Sanchez

United Linked to Arsenal`s Sanchez

Yesterday, a little snippet of transfer gossip appeared in the media that could be very interesting.

The good folk at the leading red-top tabloid publication this nation produces, The Sun, were implying that Manchester United are showing an interest in a player that would grace any squad.

The player in question is the Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean was tipped to leave the North London club during the last summer window, but, strangely, nothing materialised.

Arsenal are now in the situation whereby the player is in the last year of his current contract and if they cannot persuade Sanchez to sign a new deal he can walk away from the Emirates Stadium as a free-agent.

One club who has been continually linked with the want-away player are our near-neighbours Manchester City.

However, according to our aforementioned source, it would seem that Manchester United are set to enter the race for the exciting 28-year-old Chilean.

Our source is suggesting that Sanchez wants a £25 million signing on fee, which doesn`t seem too bad considering he`d be arriving on what is effectively a free transfer.

But, because any move would be between two Premier League clubs, nothing can be sorted until next season.

However, in our opinion, this is definitely something to keep an eye on during the coming months.
