Mourinho Has Identified Possible Replacements for Carrick

Mourinho Has Identified Possible Replacements for Carrick

Although Michael Carrick was awarded another season long contract, upon the completion of his old deal his game-time this season has been minimal.

Our opinion is that the midfielder will be heading towards the Old Trafford exit, after a fine career with Manchester United, next May.

His departure will leave a void in the squad that will have to be filled.

According to one red-top publication, Daily Star, Jose Mourinho has already identified two possible candidates to replace Carrick.

The first, according to our source, is the Roma midfielder, 29-year-old Radja Nainggolan, whilst the second, according to our source, is the Atletico Madrid midfielder, 22-year-old Saul Niguez.

Although both are probably of equal standing, personally, I`d go for the latter, purely because his age suggests he`d have more of a long-term future at Old Trafford.

But, given the choice, which of the two would you prefer to see in our famous shirt?
