'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cole Excited - It's Not About Cash

Ashley Cole is not the kind of cold money-hunter mercenary that Arsenal fans claim him to be. He has a romantic personality: he's excited by the fact that Chelsea is made to work hard for their money this season.

'It's better for the league that it's more open this year, even if I would prefer it if we were cruising it,' said the man who is known as Cashley in North London (and in all England, except Stamford Bridge)

'It hasn't worked out like that because Manchester United bought some players and are in great form, while Liverpool and Arsenal have come right back into it just recently.

Just for the record: we bought two players and one of them is our second choice goalkeeper.

'I think it's a genuine four-horse race this season which makes it quite exciting for the league as a whole.'

Regarding the excitement, he's right. As for a four-horse race, I believe that's an exaggeration. The question is: can Chelsea pick themselves up to mount a genuine title challenge (I think they can) or will they collapse and lose even the place? If the latter will happen (I don't think it would) we would be champions.

Interesting view from Cole. 12 points seperate Man Utd and Arsenal. Sorry but that is simply too much.

Yeah 12 points is a lot, but it's been done before!!! The title's yours to lose and we're not expected to make up those 12 points..... It'll be interesting. Ps Cashley IS a money-grabbing mercenary!!!
scooch
I hope he never even sees a trophy in his life let alone wins one. And change your poll. it's old

12 pts, you play chelsea, liverpool , lose those, get 3 draws and poof your 12pts are gone.. i would be surprised if it happened and what a shock, you should win the league, but the papers have to write about something.. and i could see arsenal winning all their games, personally i will laugh if chelsea finish 4th out of all of us, all that money does not guarentee success.
PUREGOLD
PUREGOLD, we could easily lose 12 points in the next 14 games. But for Arsenal (or anybody) winning 17 Premiership games in a row... that would seem far outrageous in an otherwise very unrealistic dream.
midlothian99
I said 17 because you're on a 3-game winning run.

CSKAelsea to finish third anyone?

arsenal wont catch there aint no way they gan go there remaining games without dropping points somewhere. chelsea are the only team im concerned about catching us
