Tottenham Interested in United Centre-Back

Tottenham Interested in United Centre-Back

With Victor Lindelof now officially a Manchester United player, speculation continues that one of the current crop of centre-backs will be moved on.

The centre-back in question being Chris Smalling.

Already, we`ve covered speculation as to where the England centre-back, might be headed.

However, in a piece of speculation we left-over from yesterday until today, the leading tabloid publication this country has to offer, The Sun, is suggesting that Smalling could be headed for a return to London with Tottenham Hotspur.

Our referenced source is of the opinion that the Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is seeking to bolster his numbers in his squad when it comes to the heart of the defence.
Seemingly, 27-year-old Smalling fits the bill perfectly.

However, if Tottenham Hotspur do decide to make a move for Smalling, it`ll be interest what fee the two clubs agree on and whether any such transfer business kick-starts transfer talk relating to Eric Dier moving to Old Trafford.

We`ll keep a watchful eye on events and report back as deemed necessary.
