United Linked to Young Turkish Forward

United Linked to Young Turkish Forward

In Turkey, a teenager is attracting the attention of several clubs in Europe.

The teenager in question is Cengiz Under who is just 19-years-of-age.

Currently on the books of the Turkish side Basaksehir, Under is fast becoming one of the hottest young properties in football.

Basaksehir are fighting to hold on to the talented teenager who netted nine times last season and also provided seven assists.

Nicknamed the 'Turkish Dybala` the player signed for Basaksehir for a modest £600,000 last summer and is already being bracketed in the £13 million category.

Amongst the clubs said to be interested in the youngster are Lille, Freiburg, Tottenham and Manchester United.

The Basaksehir vice-president, according to Turkish Football, has admitted that clubs are interested in the teenager and is quoted as having remarked,

"Lille have held direct talks with us, we have held talks with a few teams that have been mentioned.

"Our response has been the same, it is an honour to receive so much interest but we feel it is in his best interests to spend one more season here and then leave.

"We will see what happens."

If Basaksehir are keen to hang onto the player for another season, could a purchase with a loan back option be the way forward?
