Real Madrid Ready to Pounce for United`s De Gea

Real Madrid Ready to Pounce for United`s De Gea

Once again we`re left wondering whether Manchester United could be set to lose their Spanish goalkeeper, David de Gea, this summer.

In an almost Groundhog Day like scenario, mutterings are appearing in the media, very similar to those of two seasons ago, whereby it is being suggested Real Madrid are more than keen to lure the 26-year-old keeper to the Bernabeu.

The good folk of the popular tabloid publication, The Sun, are running with the suggestion that Real Madrid are set to offer Manchester United a huge sum of money to acquire the keeper.

According to our source the figure being bandied about is around the £60 million mark, a figure that is almost double what Real Madrid were offering two summers ago in a move that almost went through but stalled at the last minute courtesy of dodgy fax machine.

Now normally I`d be feeling confident that Manchester United would resist the approach but the recent goings-on between Mourinho and de Gea where the Spaniard was left on the side-lines with Sergio Romero being selected, have put doubts in my mind.

Throw into the mixer the fact that it is every Spaniard`s dream to play for Real Madrid and I can`t help feeling we could well be saying adios to de Gea this summer.

Does anyone else share my train of thought or have I grasped the wrong end of the stick?

Please feel free to leave your opinions in our comments facility, they`d be most welcome.
