United v Anderlecht - Early Team News

With the Europa League quarter-final tie, against Anderlecht, perfectly balanced at 1-1 after the first-leg, we have some early Manchester United team-news.

At his pre-match press conference, Jose Mourinho confirmed, as expected, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Juan Mata are all out, with foot, knee and groin injuries respectively.

The boss also confirmed that Sergio Romero will start between the posts in preference to David de Gea.

Mourinho also hinted that Wayne Rooney could be on the bench after training today and that if Rooney came through the session positively he could be afforded a place on the bench, adding,

'He is a player that can be useful and if we need a goal he can help us."

Hopefully it won`t come to that but you just never know.
