Edwin Still Confident

Edwin Still Confident

United seemed destined for a memorable success at the Emirates until the 83th minute when sloppy defending allowed Arsenal back into the game and they went on to win it. Van der Sar is confident we will bounce back.

The Dutch keeper reckons United would be almost uncatchable had they defeated the Gunners but of course there's no point lamenting this missed opportunity.

'We have kept Chelsea in it,' Edwin said.

'It could have been a good weekend for us and it would have been nice to take advantage of their mistakes at Anfield.

'If we could have made the gap nine points or seven points, then it is further away than six and good for us. I just hope it doesn't give Chelsea a lift.

'It was poor for us to lose the game like that. We were on our way to a clean sheet and playing with confidence. We are bemused by what happened.

'Nevertheless, we are still ahead and better off than we were last year. We must now concentrate on winning our next league game against Watford.'

A little bit advice: concentrate on winning our FA Cup game against Pompey on Saturday. We should kill off another Premiership team in the tournament.

Was a really opportunity to close off the season after Chelsea's slip up. Chelsea will still fancy their chances though as it stands.
