Bentley For United?

Surprising, isn't it? The man who scored the first hat-trick against Manchester United in the Premiership is linked with the Red Devils, despite the fact we have enough wingers right now.

More curious the fact that he's mentioned as an alternative signing if we fail to land Owen Hargreaves. May I remind everyone who writes scuh things that Hargreaves is a defensive midfielder while Bentley is a wide player. If we can't get Hargreaves we'll go for Reo-Coker, I believe.

Otherwise, Bentley is good but he's not United material right now. He's got the potential but to be honest I doubt if he would ever be a Ryan Giggs or a Cristiano Ronaldo. I'd accept a swap deal with Richardson going the other way!

The only people suggesting that Bents is an "alternative" to Hargreaves are the press. Such a suggestion is crazy as they are totally different players ANY football fan knows this! Bents has the potential, in fact is United quality but wouldn't play regular football for a while so why leave Rovers. As for Richardson if he's being offered in return keep him!
