'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fergie Relishing Lille Test

Manchester United face Lille in the last 16 of the Champions League. The French team played a major part in eliminating United from the competition last season, having won 1-0 in Paris after a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford. Reds manager Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to avoid a repeat and feels his team is better equipped this time.

'We had a bad experience last year but this is a different United team,' he told ManUtd.com.

'It's an emerging team, which is getting better all the time. We're really looking forward to the tie.'

'To get to this stage is fantastic and we have improved so much since last year,' added the United boss. 'I am sure they will be two great games.

'We know they will be difficult, but that's what the Champions League at this stage is all about.'
