'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Park Has Recovered

United's 'human resources' are set to increase as Park Ji-sung is ready to return to the team after recovering from an ankle operation that has kept him on the sidelines for the past three months.

The Korean midfielder had an impressive debut season in the Premiership and all United fans hopes he would keep up his 2005/06 form during the current campaign. His first few performances into the new season were quite below-par, considering the standards he had set during the season before. Then came that dreadful ankle ligament injury, exactly at the same time when Ryan Giggs got injured. The Welsh Wizard was back three weeks later but for Park the wait was much longer.

It's over now and the Korean is confident he can recapture the form that earned him a lot of praise last season.

'I am entirely recovered from the injury,' he told MUTV on Wednesday.

'Since last week I've been in training, so I don't think there is going to be any problem.

'The two ligaments in my ankle were broken, so I had surgery to connect them - and then I had to have three months of rehab.'

'As a football player, watching games is not very pleasant,' he said.

'My team is top of the league, so I'm very glad about that. But I still want to play.

'I am very impressed with the team's performances - but I'd like to join in and show my own ability. I'd like to contribute to the team.'

I'm glad to have him back as he thoroughly impressed me in last season. His availability would mean Fergie could afford to rest either Ronaldo or Giggs. A little rest will be invaluable for both of them before the fixtures would begin to accumulate.

park gives us another good option and it will be good to see him playing again

I don't really think there's a place for him in the United starting 11. Seems to get pushed off the ball too easily and sometimes his final ball is lacking somewhat.
