'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sorensen 'We Bottled It!'

Villa goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen pulled no punches about Villa's below-par performance which has left them hovering above the relegation zone.

Sorense: 'We have to be disappointed with the whole game. We didn't show the good attitude that we had in the previous four games.

'I don't know the reason why but we sat too far off them, especially in the first half. It was a little bit better in the second half but we were way below standard and, against a team like this, we were lucky to only lose 2-0.

'If we gave them too much respect, we need to look at ourselves because we have played against equally good teams in the past and done well.

'Why, with the form we have shown, did we perform like that? We have to have respect for them but we need to play our own game and we didn't do that.

'Coming into this game there should have been confidence and I was very disappointed we didn't show what we are capable of.'
