United Have Money To Spend

Many claimed United were broke when the Reds struck a deal with Helsingborgs to sign 35-year-old Henrik Larsson on loan. United's debts are well-known to everybody who's interested in football but that will not stop Sir Alex to bring in player he wants to, according to chief executive David Gill.

What a crazy thing this is, United struggling to raise funds for players? Not something we were used to... Still, the situation does not seem desperate.

'We haven't really discussed incoming transfers in detail but there is money there,' said Gill.

'If we determine that there is somebody who can come in and strengthen the club, then there is certainly money there.'

Let's hope Mr. Gill is right and it will be interesting to see how much money they're ready to spend on Owen Hargreaves. Fergie still wants to sign him, the player wants to come so he will be United's main target in January. Shame he could not play in the Champions League.

You United fans don't understand debts. Get relegated a couple of times and then talk about debts.
