Bardsley Sent Back To United

Rangers manager Paul Le Guen has finally made it clear he did not want Phil Bardsley in his squad: he's sent him back to Manchester.

I'm sure Bardsley hadn't envisaged his loan spell at Rangers as a miserable time, marked with rows with the manager and lack of opportunities to play. Yet it turned out to be exactly like that and I wonder whether Fergie's now regretting the decision to send the right-back to Ibrox.

Scottish papers claim Bardsley knew he would not be kept by Rangers but wanted to know if there's any point in staying until the end of December when his contract was going to expire. He discussed his options with Paul Le Guen who was rather straightforward and told him he had no chance of playing as Alan Hutton's form is improving and Ian Murray is returning to full fitness.

Well, it's nice to have him back though he's surplus to requirements right now so he's likely to be loaned out again in January. I hope his club will be chosen more carefully next time. Of course, there is the possibility that he is essentially a moaner and a whinger but I do not think so. Time will tell.
