Saha And Ronaldo To Decide

Saha And Ronaldo To Decide

Saha's crucial penalty miss against Celtic has sparked a debate about whether he should take the spot kicks when the pressure is intense. Sir Alex Ferguson did not want to make a decision in this matter - to be honest, it's rather uncharacteristic from him, he used to be involved in every decision concerning the team.

'I`ve left it between Louis and Cristiano to decide,' said Ferguson.

'Sometimes if one is playing better than the other it is sensible for the one who is playing well to take it, although I told Louis if he needed one for his hat-trick he should take it.'

I'm quite surprised that Rooney is out of contention in this case. He posesses the mental strength and shooting ability necessary to be an effective penalty taker. If it's between Saha and Ronaldo then I'd go for the Portuguese.
