United Linked With Torres

United Linked With Torres

United are a bit short of strikers currently so it's quite unsurprising that a hatful of names have been thrown in throughout the last couple of weeks in the press.

Our latest target is apparently Fernando Torres whom has been linked with United for ages now. Spanish media believe the Reds could land him in January for £25 million, a massive price for a 22-year-old player.

The dark side of this, however, is that Jose Mourinho is also thought to be keen on the player and we all know Chelsea could easily outbid United - so Torres-fans should hope the boy would be attracted by the opportunity to play regularly for a Champions League team.

Another 20 mil player to sit on the bench or playing for the reserves? I expect him to have learnt from Wright-Phillips' fate.
