Pique Thanks Fergie

It seems our old, stubborn Scottish is still one of the best in the business when it comes to handling young players. Gerard Pique, United's Spanish defender who is currently on loan at Real Zaragoza, paid a glowing tribute to Fergie.

"He is like a second father to me," Pique said. "I am extremely grateful that he gave me the opportunity to come here to gain experience."

As Pique is a highly talented defender whose abilities are likely to attract all top clubs, these are really words of comfort for us United fans.

I hope so. Ronaldo, Rooney, Rossi in attack, Pique and Evans in defence - not bad.
