Another week has ended and a lot of rumours have been piled up again. Some of them are plain rubbish while others may prove to be profound. Let's have a look at the most interesting ones.
First, it's about Carlos Queiróz who was alleged that he wanted to take over Luiz Felipe Scolari's job as Portugal coach. Well, United's number two has confirmed his visits to Portugal international games had an entirely different reason: they were scouting missions.
He is thought to be checking the progress of Sporting wonderkid Nani who has earned the praise of the United scouting departmentm and a move for him could be lined up soon.
Of course, more experienced players are also attracting Sir Alex Ferguson's attention is rumours are to be believed. United are believed to be monitoring the situation of 28-year-old Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic who still hasn't signed a new contract with the Milan outfit.
"It wouldn`t be difficult for us to find another club - if we were forced to do so." his agent Vinicio Fioranelli said. Well, the club's first Serbian player is really good...
Speculation about Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has resurfaced as the papers believe Lyon are also after him. The prolific Ajax striker's spokesman (oh my god, a spokesman, not just some ruddy agent) confirmed that there are a number of teams who may battle for his signature and it's believed United are one of them.
'English and Spanish teams and a French one are very interested but there has not been a formal approach,' Huntelaar's spokesman told the French press.
'I am not convinced that the French league is the most adequate for his next move.'
Oh, and by the way, Freddie Adu is due to arrive tomorrow while Southampton ruled out the possibility of Gareth Bale's sale, thus disappointing the Premiership's Faboulous Four who are all thought to be keen on the young and exciting full-back.
