'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Turn Down Celtic!'

David Beckham believes Roy Keane should turn down his dream move to Glasgow and join him at Madrid.

Reports on Wednesday suggest Celtic, who Keane supported as a boy, are close to sealing a deal for the former Republic of Ireland captain after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez claimed the Spanish giants have not discussed signing him.

Beckham: 'If we have a chance to sign Roy Keane then I'd say yes. I think he brings a lot to a team. We've got great leaders here already but I have never played with a better leader, Roy Keane would help in any team.

'Roy Keane is an incredible player and person, this is a great club and everybody would want to come here. I've always said he (Keane) is one of the best players and captains I've played with, but I don't know what's going to happen.

'That's his decision. Nobody knows what Roy's going to do, he supports Celtic and people have linked him with them since he left Manchester. What Roy Keane brings to a team on and off the pitch is special. Even when he's injured or can't play as happened in the Champions League final, he's important.

'He's had injuries this season, but I think he's got a few years left in him and knowing the kind of person he is, he can play.'
