Watford Interested In Smudger

Alan Smith is now attracting a number of club as it's common knowledge that United are willing to loan out the former Leeds striker to aid him in his recovery process.

Smith had turned down the chance to play for Leeds United and Cardiff City and Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd admitted that he'd like to sign Smith bunt he's uncertain about whether his efforts would be successful. Hornets need him, though: Marlon King is out with a serious injury and they do not have the necessary cover for him.

'I have enquired about Alan,' said Boothroyd. - If we were to have a go at getting Alan we couldn't get him until January, which is probably good as he may go somewhere else first.

'But I don't really see it happening because he needs time to get back into the groove of things.'

I am surprised sir alex is letting him stay with his own dedicated training regime...training is fine but nothing compares to actual match conditions and the emotions of it all..if he is serious about wanting to make a go of things at man utd..surely smith himself must recognise this ???...unless there are other reasons in his mind....

i think smith thinks if he accepts the loan that he will probally get sold in the summer
