Adu Wants To Come

Adu Wants To Come

United are now surely in the driving seat in the race for Freddy Adu's signature. The highly-rated American teenager is set for a trial at the club and now he has admitted his favourite players were Rooney and Ronaldo.

'To go to one of the world's biggest clubs and get a chance to train is an honour and a privilege,' Adu is quoted by the Daily Express.

'Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney are two of my favourite players and getting the chance to train with them will be unbelievable. Hopefully this will lead to an offer in January or in the summer transfer window next year.

'That would be awesome. I hope I can show flashes of the kind of player I can become.'

I hope he remains just as modest as he seem to be now. It remains to be seen whether he is good enough to play for us, but as a marketing investment, he would be invaluable...

Point is he's APPARENTLY not a teenager!! Got the same issues as Obefami Martins, faked papers to allow entry into another country!! If he's not good enough for USA to take him to the WC, will he be good enough for the Prem league?!! Stinks of boosting USA shirt sales to me!!

hes 17 u can tell that just by looking at him. the reason y he wasnt taken is cause of his age. maybe a bit of jealousy coming from other teams
