Smith - Never Going To Make A Keane

Alan Smith tries to bully the opposition in the same manner as Roy Keane, but he couldn't lick Keano's boots!

He snarled, used choice language, kicked anything that moved, but when it came to leadership or stamping an authority on the game ... forget it.

The ex-Leeds United striker, turned midfielder, became a liability the more the game went on. He picked up a yellow card, more for petulance than anything else, then was taken off before he was sent off.

His last tackle deserved red, and Ferguson was forced to act, and thankfully kept eleven on the pitch.

But it was a match that needed a Roy Keane, and all we got from Smith was a prat with his lip out.

Rumour has it Newcastle are prepared to take him to St James' Park in January, and personally ... I'd take their hand off!
