Rojo - Still No Work Permit!

This saga resembles a spy saga!

After finally securing the signature of Marcos Rojo, Manchester United supporters would have been hoping that he`d now be ready to step into the breach and fill the defensive void left by the departures of Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra.

But that`s not the case with it being announced that the Argentine`s work permit still hasn`t materialized and that the 24 year-old, signed from the Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, is currently holed up in the Argentine embassy in Madrid.

Quite when the reference document will turn up and Rojo will finally pull on a Manchester United shirt remains unclear. But with the Premier League season taking an international break next weekend, we`d hope the fourteen day grace will be sufficient for this matter to be sorted out once and for all.

It`s not too much to ask for is it?

I don't understand this crap, Rojo has a contract and therefore a job, a high paying one at that. Its not like he's going to turn up in Manchester and do a runner.

It's ABU's at immigration purposefully holding back paperwork to stop the rebuild probably. Joking aside this is taking the**** I know theres sometimes problems getting permits for unknown players but international players normally just waltz straight in.
