Louis van Gaal is happy with what he`s got!

With Luke Shaw set to be out injured for the next month with a hamstring injury, the suggestion had been bandied about that Louis van Gaal might be forced into the transfer market to boost our left sided options.

However, as the opening fixture of the 2014 / 2015 season approaches, van Gaal, at his pre-match press conference, dismissed the idea and confirmed he is happy to go with the squad, for the moment, as it is, remarking,

'We played in the USA with Reece James and Ashley Young in that position. I'm not worried."

I see that as a vote of confidence that should benefit both Ashley Young and young Reece James at a time when the world will be truly watching to see how Manchester United start under Louis van Gaal.

Hopefully the players he's putting faith into repay him with great performances. This is their chance, they better take it.

Well I'm worried. Even more so after seeing that starting line up. We need players now more than we've ever needed them and nearly every one of our targets have moved on already. Ashley young will of course play brilliantly today and next week until the window closes and he's safe again.
