Rio QPR Bound (Finally)

Rio QPR Bound (Finally)

Any speculation relating to the on / off transfer to Queens Park Rangers looks set to be settled very shortly.

It appears that all the guff about the QPR board not being happy with the signing of the veteran defender and his subsequent salary appears to have been misrepresented by the media.

Rio, as many are aware, has been over in Brazil on media duties with the BBC and now they have finished, with the completion of the World Cup and Harry Redknapp is set to lure the 35 year-old to Loftus Road on a £35,000 a week deal.

Clarifying the situation, Harry is quoted in the media as remarking,

"Rio`s not been difficult to deal with. To be fair he wants to play and he wants to come to QPR."

Well that`s sorted then, we`ll just wait for the official announcement!

Fair play to Rio it goes to show he's not all about the money but I still think he's mad for making the move to the circus that is QPR of late.

Good old Harry at it again, I'm surprised he didn't sign Lampard and Joe Cole on free's as well, I'm still expecting a QPR bid for Defoe though. At least Rio will get a good reception at Old Trafford this season, he'll probably tweet about it.

Surprised Harry hasn't tried getting the entire of his old west ham squad in there to be honest.
