Vidal Deal Back On!

Yesterday it was off; today it is, supposedly, back on but with ramifications!

The consensus of opinion yesterday was that Manchester United were set to look elsewhere with the view that they were not prepared to meet the asking price for the Juventus player Arturo Vidal.

Today the inference is that things have gone round a full circle with the inference that Louis Van Gaal has persuaded the United board to pursue the player.

Now it would appear that a deal is to be done and the Chilean midfielder could very well be coming to Old Trafford.

However, with Juventus set to lose one of their star players it appears that their head coach Antonio Conte has had enough of his best players being sold from beneath his feet and has left his position, remarking to the Italian media,

"I have decided to terminate my contract."

"My feelings led me to make this choice. It may be more difficult to keep winning with Juventus."

Clearly enough is enough for Conte but then again every cloud, particularly for us, has a silver lining!

Only because the media don't have a scooby what's going on and so to sell papers and pretend they do have a clue they keep reporting guff and changing the story. This is well and truly a wait and see scenario.

This is all very frustrating but at least we now know that there is a top class manager calling the shots this time so hopefully we'll just sign who we need with no fuss and the media can all ***** off. We will probably sign Vidal but we'll hear nothing until the deal is done with Vidal presented to the fans and thats the way it should be done.

Hopefully we're back to that way of doing things Kanchelskis. Best bit of the transfer season is when the news of a new player breaks out. All this constant speculation really grates especially after you've already had to endure a whole bloody season of it as well. Thanks to Moyes failing miserably last summer to sign anyone other than Fellani and then being crap.

Well there's evidently been a change of tactics this window compared to last. The club isn't keeping any news outlet informed this time round and are looking to sign players whom actually want to play for the club, obviously to avoid another Fabregas saga. At the same time what with all these sponsorship deals being announced the clubs we're looking to buy from know we have money and will look to hold us to ransom; if we start giving in to unreasonable demands now it will have a spiral effect with every club looking to make us pay silly amounts for players who just don't warrant it.
