Van Gaal - Next stop Old Trafford!

Following the completion of the World Cup with Germany, in my opinion, worthy winners, we`re now awaiting the arrival of the Dutch manager, Louis van Gaal, at Old Trafford.

With the 2013 / 2014 season getting ever nearer, the anticipation levels are getting upped.

Reflecting on his time at the 2014 World Cup, van Gaal has had some words fr the media that describe how he feels about the third place the Dutch achieved in Brazil and how he wants to take the same attitude the Dutch displayed to Old Trafford, remarking,

"I hope my new group in Manchester will be just like this one. We set an objective and we believed in that objective…we wanted first place."

"And really we were very, very close to doing that - only penalties stopped us."

"Not to be able to achieve that objective was so disappointing but we won third place, we got a medal which is fantastic."

"And we scored 15 goals in seven matches, so we can look back on a successful tournament and I`m just so proud of my players and my staff. Now the first thing we have to do at United is the same, to all start singing from the same hymn sheet. Then we`ll see…if we do that then all`s well that ends well."

Looking forward to the coming season, more than what I could say this time last year. Finally Van Gaal can get stuck into his work and hopefully what with the massive 750 mil kit manufacturer deal he'll get the financial backing to give the squad the facelift it needs.
