After Left-Back Cover

Although Manchester United hase signed Luke Shaw, in a record-breaking deal, there could be a situation arising whereby another left-back is required.

Already United have sold Alex Buttner and there`s the distinct possibility that Patrice Evra could also be heading through the Old Trafford exit door.

To that effect United are being linked with the acquisition of a left-back.

The player in question is the 21 year-old Swiss international Ricardo Rodriguez.

Rodriguez has spent two seasons in the Bundesliga, with Wolfsburg, whilst amassing 22 caps for his country and is seen as, quite possibly, the ideal player to back-up / complement Luke Shaw.

As is the norm, we`ll keep you informed of any developments.

Apparently he's on Spurs wanted list as well, as our first choice LB so whats going to be more attractive to the lad, first team action or support to the record breaking Shaw?
Slurms McKenzie
Considering we've just signed Shaw I don't think we'll be after another first team left back but one who can provide competition and back-up. Personally think this is lazy journalism.
